So, how can we revolutionize the hiring process and build a more equitable future for designers? Here are some game-changing ideas that can reshape the way we find and hire talent:

1️⃣ Focus on skills & potential, not just qualifications: Instead of fixating on a long list of qualifications, prioritize a candidate’s skills and potential. Look beyond the checkboxes and consider the value they can bring to your team.

2️⃣ Embrace blind hiring to mitigate bias: Unconscious bias can hinder diversity and limit opportunities for underrepresented candidates. Implement blind hiring practices by removing personal information, such as names and demographic details, from resumes and portfolios.
